  Goa Diaries…..Undiscovered Goa   The land of Waterfalls….   Most of the tourists come to Goa during Winters after Diwali or more towards the year end to celebrate the twin occasion of Christmas and New Year. Partying till the wee hours of the morning   on the beaches of Baga , Anjuna or Calangute visiting the usual shacks or the pubs / watering hole like Tito’s eating some local fish cuisine and generally making merry . Getting out of the hangover the next day and packing back off to the dreadful and stressful city life . Back to the Grind as they say.   But can you imagine Goa as a natural paradise for not just the nature lovers but for the ordinary tourists. Goa has much to offer besides the usual touristy stuff. Welcome to the land of the humble Pao... Goa can be described as the land of beautiful beaches , exotic tourist attractions, holy temples , eye refreshing greenery and gastronomic delights. I could go on an on about this peaceful land and will dedicate some of my upcoming blogs to describe this serene and seriously happening place on Earth. But for now I would like to concentrate on a peculiar food habits. Anything goes with the fluffy little Pao. Be it the bhaji or the Chicken Xacuti you cannot complete the dish with out the humble Pao. The day starts and ends with this Pao.. Generations of Goan's have been raised on Pao and patal bhaji for breakfast a spicy curry dried peas swimming in ground coconut and special Goan masala. You will find this dish listed on menus of street Gados to small Khanaval's to mid sized  restaurant and even in the shacks and exotic resorts lining the limitless beaches across Goa. Life after  Lock-down After a long break putting pen to paper or rather cursor to document in the digital world. A really whirlwind of a time not just for me but across the globe due to a virus colloquially called Corona Virus clinical name being Covid-19 which turned into a global pandemic A crisis unheard off and unforeseen by mankind since the Plague in 19th Century Bringing life to stand still as if God almighty has put the world on hold to make mankind realise the excesses it has committed over all these years A halt to the devastation be it environmental or in family & human relationships due excessive consumption and personal desires Then came the lockdown which laid down new rules or rather the new way of life A life which taught us all that you don't need much to survive on this planet and lead a happy and a satisfied life .
